I hear ya...I had forgotten that there were reasons why I allowed my account to lapse, besides just laziness. Not that laziness had nothing to do with it, mind you... Eh, I'll give it three months and decide then if I want to renew.

You'd actually be surprised - Texas has a reputation of being a hardcore conservative state, and that reputation is somewhat well deserved, but despite that, and despite the disorganized state of the Dems down here, we have a pretty decent number of Dems/liberals down here, all things considered. Don't forget, we gave the world Molly Ivins and Ann Richards. Of course, Austin is a well-known liberal enclave, but Dallas is going that route too, and Houston isn't far behind. And with the demographic trends in this state being what they are, it won't be long before Texas is a competitive state for Democrats again.
