i'm thinking about intentions. i truly believe that most of us have good intentions most of the time. so how is it then, that such crappy things happen?

is it the case that the bad intentions of the few spread like a stain out into the world to infect the rest of us? do bad intentions spread further than good?

on another note: is it possible to have a 'no obligation' relationship, or is the concept of 'obligation' inherent in all relationships?

the concept of reciprocity is inherent in all relationships. You get what you give.

Obligation could mean a number of things, I feel it is possible to have a no obligation relationship. If obligation is an issue then it should be discussed to avoid problems.
