kundalini:
That's an intriguing idea, and one that seems to make a lot of sense in a meaningful sort of way.
dorwayin:
It always feels better when someone else honors how hard you work wink

Sure there's a difference. Just ask The Doors.
Funny Optimism said that, my first response was to write:

People are weird, when you're a weirdo...

But it isn't as catchy. wink
kundalini:
People are intricate systems of chaos.

Yes, I realize that is a paradox. smile

one problem i have noticed about mental masterbation is that it has some unexpected side effects. for instance if i spend too much time and energy on thinking about a relationship i can take it to places it has never been in reality.
danaide:
yeah but aren't you amazed at how far you go?
kundalini:
and you know what's really strange?
When you imagine so far fucking out there, and through some cosmic fucking synchronicity, it happens.
Black magic man, black magic...

i heard somewhere that in order to make things real i needed to talk about my life. i have talked and talked. i have been honest about my story, told most of it to one or two individuals instead of spewing out bits and drabs all over the place. i see my life with all its complexity in a way i simply could not before....

sometimes i feel like i am on a pendulum, swinging back and forth. i see the world from extreme points of view, neither accurate. i struggle to stay in the middle, balanced. but i miss the adrenaline and i climb back on for another ride until i jump off, exhausted once more.

is real life found in the mundane?
silverrevolver:
Real life is everywhere, but you can't see when you are looking ahead to the future, or back to the past.

i am trying to do "official" paper work. i have documents spread around my living room floor. i feel like running away. i am considering my options. i may go for vietnamese food as a distraction.

i recycled my christmas tree. i felt like the grinch stuffing it into my car. eeks. pine needles everywhere. why do i subject myself to this every year? i...

it is good to remember from whence one has come, if only in order to avoid going there again.

last year was a good one for me. i worked hard and began to reap the benefits of that work. i saw through more of the lies i lived with. although i still look, at times, for external approval i have begun to listen to my...

Totally relating to your entry. I love how you have changed your profile up by the way. I have noticed. What is shorn hair though? I think I'm going to go look it up on dictionary .com, but I'd rather you expain it. I think it rocks we are allowed to change, at any time. So to hell with once a year resolutions. I am always evaluating and adjusting. Happy New Year to you too...

Last year my furnace broke down on the 24th of December. I called to have it fixed. They couldn't get anyone to come out and fix it until January 3rd. It was damn cold. I hope that you have better luck.
