So I turn 38 today... and my parents call.

They call to ask my advice about how my little brother can better handle his divorce, tell me he's going through a bad patch, and try to get me to tell them what to do to make everything better for him.

At some point today they'll realise what day it is ---- I'll get some mileage out of the fact the only call I got was from the car dealership I just bought my truck from - a recorded message hoping this year's a good one.
