Don't get me wrong. I still like Jazz.

And Combichrist and The Sisters of Mercy are awesome.

But I've found myself listening to the country station a lot, for the first time. I've always listened to Cash, Frizzell, Hank Williams (not Jr. or III).

But now I'm hearing a lot of the country out there and though there's a lot of Rascall Flatts bullshit, and some of the lyrics in some songs are jingoistic, but frankly, a lot of those songs are damn catchy, well written, and such.

Brad Paisley's "Welcome to the future" - he pulls off a beautiful riff in the 2nd verse that made me just about say "oh, nicely played sir" out loud.

And a lot of these guys are raconteurs - songs that tell stories instead of being about blunts and bitches, or why don't girls like me, I'm the loneliest boy in the worldddddd.... *bleargh*.

If I ever start liking Jeff Dunham, shoot me.

In other news - whatever happened to Larry the Cable Guy? Oh right - he made two shitty unfunny films and his 15 minutes of fame are over. HIGH FIVE!
