While driving this morning I saw a high school kid riding his bike to school. Strapped to his back was not only the standard backpack you'd see most kids with but also an oar. Yes, an oar, like for a row boat or a canoe. Weird.
The is Tempe Arizona, not much need for an oar at the high school.
I'm sure there was some rational explanation, but still, weird.
