As to lighten the mood of the bummer of a week we've had I'm going to let you in on how I went from no sunglasses to three pairs in four days (Well I guess it's not really four days if you start counting from when I lost the first pair but you get the idea)
Sometime back I lost my sunglasses. I went and picked up a new pair at the great Sidewalk Surfer and promptly lost them two weeks later. This was the Sunday after Thanksgiving. I went back to Sidewalk, but they were sold out of the Von Zipper Monte's that I'd just lost and had know idea when they'd get them in again. So I went home and ordered them over the interweb.
Monday I get an email from the place I ordered them from saying they were sorry it's taking so long but Von Zipper is having a manufacturer problem with that style and they have no way of telling when they'd have them in again, so if I'd like to cancel ....
(Here's where the four days starts)
Tuesday I'm driving by Sidewalk and I'm sick of not having any sunglasses so I pop in to see if they have the Monte's back in stock. Well they didn't have the black but they did have the tortoise so I bought them. Figured I go home and cancel my internet order.
When I get home and hop on the computer I have an email telling me the black ones have shipped! What!?! The day before they were saying they'd have know idea when that would happen. Sweet.
This morning I pull a box of random equipment for work that needs to be mailed back out of the spare bedroom and in the box are the ORIGINAL sunglasses I lost that started this whole thing to begin with.
This afternoon UPS dropped of the black pair of Monte's.
So now I have three pairs and can afford to miss place a pair, and that fact alone will probably prevent that from ever happening.
