I wrote this a while ago and seems fitting for today.

Sea of Evil

distinct discomfort and inevitable intersections

wandering decades at a time lost in the days

apathetic to angry calls to change a lovers ways

pursuits of passion in a lewd exchange

in all the years only the names have changed

lessons learned are no match for prior pain

but its god now that is sitting in vain

failures in fact lead me to live in fiction

perplexing problems leading to prophets

and still ashamed questions remain

poor profits for a 1st quarter gain

as homeless sleep sick and cold in the rain

calling the wrong number

finding all the right people

with jesus on the cross at the top of the steeple

my plans and thoughts seem so feeble

drowning in a lonely sea of evil
