jimmy and lisa and i are all going to turbonegro on sunday.
i will got to the echo/mirah on saturday to jeff's band, becky stark and the lavendar diamond play and i think i'm heading to some urb holiday party on friday as well as pigeon john.
there were a million other shows i wanted to see too, but i forgot that i don't like shows anymore. oh and last night i went to some night at the parlour where dame darcy is somehow connected.
la treats me good in some ways and then fucking kicks me in the balls in others. fucking i want to live here, but the city does not want me. at all. everyday it gets harder for me to come here for different reasons.

I used to live & work in Culver City west of the 405 and would run to the beach every day, so as far as living is LA is concerned, I had it pretty good. West Side has better weather & air. I rarely had to get on the freeway, but if I wanted to see friends, family or a show I had to drive at least an hour. There is definitely some cool shit there, but the grief ultimately wasn't worth it. I moved back to San Francisco as soon as I found a show. Sum total = 5 months 3 weeks in LA. I was working in film production so LA was the obvious place to be but struggling in S.F. was far better for me than living In LA where jobs were plentiful. I think i'm in the minority here, cause many people love it there, in fact about 14 million, but to each their own.
I hope you have a successful trip and accomplish what you set out to
