Just went 7 days without internet while sitting in an oil field shack watching 15 hrs of tv a day since there was no where to go and nothing to do.......its seperated into two living units, Me in one and a 450 lb guy in the other.....
I would look at him when both our doors were open and think.......
If I stay in this job much longer I will end up looking like that. Its not healthy to spend 7 days in a room, watching tv, eating and playing solitiare...duh.
understand, this is the "oil fields" of Northern Alberta. right now its getting ready to snow...we are in literally mid-calf high mud, the type that sucks your boots right off your feet.
So while the rig crew is working and I am waiting for someone to get injured, there's NOTHING to do all day.
I watch satellite TV, do school work, sleep and eat. 24 hrs a day, stuck out there.
But until I get a new job (which trying to do right now) what can I do? quit?

Why don't you do sit-ups or something...or do laps around the shack!
