I just got back from LA/ Las Vegas yesterday. Holy wow, it was fun. I went to Malibu and got a sunburn, Venice, Suicidal Tattoo (hint: it kind of sucks!), Melrose for people-watching, and lots of awesome places in Echo Park. I also went to the famous (?) Double Down Saloon in Vegas. It fully lived up to its reputation and I actually met a guy who knew some of my friends up here. However, the Travel Channel was there filming a segment, so if you want to go, go there quick before they ruin it
I also sang karaoke for the first time in my life at a private karaoke party in K-town for my BFF's birthday. It was SO FUN. I never in my life thought I would sing Purple Rain into a microphone in front of other living beings, but boy did I. In no way is that diminished by the fact that 10 other people were singing it with me.
Lastly but perhaps most importantly, I picked up recklessroad from Canter's. It is better than I expected it to be- not just photos but a whole diary of the beginnings of Guns n' Roses' rise to greatness. I am a shameless, die-hard GNR fan who seriously owned a Slash's Snakepit album at one time, so the book is making my year.

I heard about this on the rad-ee-o.
That picture of a puppy up there is beyond cute. I like puppies...but they always turn into BIG DOGS that hurt me.
