Well, that last entry was kind of abortive so here's a better one.
I just watched Escape From LA. At first my thought was "This isn't completely wretched- it does still have Kurt Russell- but it's not really a fitting successor to EFNY." Then the basketball scene happened. Holy guacamole, what a piece of shit. There is so much that sucks about this movie.
I realize it came out in like 1990 and I'm pretty far behind on my movie hating, but I was busy being obsessed with Michael Jackson and Lisa Frank in 1990 so I had no time for Snake Plissken.
In other news, my fixation on The Cars continues unabated. I got a Cars Live dvd from Netflix and watched it, and another should be arriving soon. The one I just watched is a live show in Germany in 1979. The show is good, the interview part (recorded in 2000) is kinda boring. However, it is also very sad, because Ben Orr is clearly very sick during the interview, and knowing he died later that year makes it poignant. Poor guy. I wish I had become obsessed in high school so I could have perhaps seen them live. Oh well.
