I finally got my car re-registered! It expired in may of '04. So I've been driving around for 11 months with expired tags. I would have done it online, but I needed to get it smogged too. SO I finally did all this yesterday, and now have a brand new 2006 red sticker on my rear plate. I never had a yellow 05 one, I just put the new one over the blue 04. Now I won't freak when a cop is behind me, and dash over to the closest offramp to get away from him. Now I can park on the street and not worry about getting towed. DAMN I'm a procrastinating lazy bastard! Good thing I finally got car insurance too last month. Now I'm actually LEGAL!
