Off to Orange County for a week... Not much to do for work, so it's mostly socializing with my sister's kids, and my best friend. My car's ignition locked up today, after a tow to my sister's place, Robbie and I went to town on the steering column. Not so much "auto repair" as "frontier justice"... Two hammers, a power drill, two cobalt drill bits, duct tape, a lot of swearing, and a pair of tweezers later, and I now have to start my car, not with the key, but with a tool I made from a pencil stub, a little screwdriver, and the broken-off leg of one of my nephew's power ranger action figures.. But hey! It works!
I'm going to pick Rob up at work tomorrow for lunch... That means I can go upstairs and see Kristen. First time since Halloween, and since she said she couldn't date me anymore. Maybe being close to her will make me understand what happened, maybe we can talk about it. Either way, we're all going out on Wednesday night, so I'll for sure get to talk to her then. I miss touching her hair, and seeing her smile in the sunlight... She really is amazing. Keep your fingers crossed!
