Grandma Margaret Skorupski died this morning. Less than six months after Grandpa. She was just done living I guess, and stopped trying. No interests, no passions, no hobbies, no friends left, no desire to learn anything new, read any books or even be social. That, and no Grandpa... But they'd been practically roommates for the past 30 years. Separate bedrroms even. The only reason they...

London.

America loves you Britain. You're our older brother. We came from you and you've always been our closest ally and truest friend. When Spain was hit, it was tragic but it didn't hit me like this. My heart is breaking for all the families who've been shattered by this.

do you think most londoners were celebrating the olympics? because i dont think many were celebrating at all.

and why didn't this happen yesterday?

Actually I did wonder but she's always been this way with friends. Can't have more than one. Even if her daughter or son has friends and does stuff with them, she gets petty and jealous. Or maybe she is gay. Hell I don't know. But I really don't think so. I just think it's that 'one friend only' personality. You now, psycho obsessive.

I just know I can't quit right now. I have decent pay after 12 yrs and good vacation time. If I start over now ... no travel. And that was my point of downgrading to the cheap house. So, I know this woman you may be interested in. She's nice, in a management position. .. wink

Shannon took a bad turn for the worse today. A really bad confused day for her, heartbreakingly frustrating for all of us. What we thought the cause was, may or may not actually be the case. More tests, more drugs, more toturous waiting.

I want my girl back so badly...

Just some reminders before you head out to the hospital.

Breath.
OB and Black Kitty like treats. Be prepared.
Beware the jogging turtle.
And cows.
And jingly collars.
And jogging cows with jingly collars.

And above all this;

God hates pigeons.

1kiss_of_life:
They're coming to get you, Barbara, there's one of them now!

Shannon is going to be fine. It will be a road to recovery, but with support she'll make it through.

A very special thank you to the doctors and nurses of the Alta Bates medical center in Berkeley.
1kiss_of_life:
Whew! But wait, now you've lost all chance in making her believe you are a nice guy. wink Dude, I should so be a neurologist ... brain surgeon even. biggrin

I'm glad all is well. Does she come home soon?

Little black kitty totally made my day today.

I was leaving to go to Target, and walking through my apt. complex on the way to the parking lot. Little black kitty was sitting on the grass with her friend, a new black kitty (but with longer hair. For future reference I call him "O.B." for Other BlackKitty)) that's still very skittish and runs...

Awww, how cute is that? I love that.

Ok, I've never read it but only quotes ...

The cat yawned slowly, carefully, revealing a mouth and tongue of astounding pinkness. "Cats don't have names," it said.

"No?" said Coraline.

"No," said the cat. "Now, you people have names. That's because you don't know who you are. We know who we are, so we don't need names."

That Icy/Hot story was the best thing since HollaScott told me he did the same thing after cooking with hot peppers. I love the stories I get from the boys on my friends list. biggrin

Happy D-Day everybody.

61 Years ago today thousands of American, British and Canadian troops stormed one of the most heavily fortified positions in history to put the first nail in Hitler's coffin. We all owe a lot to those brave folks, their numbers are dwindling fast, so never pass up a chance to thank a veteran and shake his hand whenever you get a chance....

I know. It's sad. Here's something to make you smile.

Well it made me smile and no it has nothing to do with cows or beastly dogs.

It's Star Wars related ... it should make you smile ..... or wince at least.

Have you heard about the problem they've been having all over CA? Seems the pit bull is losing appeal as guardians. With attacks on the rise, they are discussing enacting a law making people post warning signs. I'd be careful if I were you, especially on those two raspberry days ... you know you are going to pay for it one way or another. tongue

Let me get this straight. "(slowly) working." I mean, I believe you but parenthesis?? Dude, it's an adverb. Let it just be an adverb. tongue

That was a funny story and a great story for her first time. I have no story like that at all. Oh yes, mine *was* much like that actually ... Yeah, I remember, that nervous vomiting feeling. puke No, wait, that wasn't anything like her story ... damn.

No booze tonight. No anything tonight, gotta take it easy. Went with my sister to her church to give blood. I have a rare blood type (B-) something like .5% of the American population has it, so the blood drives jump up and down when they get a needle in me. Damn needles are the size of a toothpick, but on the cool side, I...

In a really weird way, I'm glad if my dog had to die she died on Saturday before these terrible roofers started up. My nerves are shot to hell from all their racket.

Although if she hadn't been hit by a car, I would have spent the day at the park with her instead of inside missing her. frown
