Nothing is scarier than talking to your mother while you're still half-asleep in bed and her saying, "I'll be there in an hour." Needless to say, I jumped up and speed-cleaned the house... and she's still not here, 3 hours later. Bah.
Saw Transformers last night, and I have to say it was about a million times better than I expected. Cheesy, but that kind of keeps the spirit of the very, very cheesy cartoon. Also, seeing it in a military town, sitting in between army soldiers, makes the many many military-based parts of the movie a whole lot funnier.
So... since when do people shoot fireworks on the 3rd of July? Really, it's just silly. Although it gave me something to look at while I kept David company on his crappy 24 hour shift. Didn't realize until an hour or so later what a terrible idea it is to have a fireworks show on an army base. You could only see them if you were looking out behind the barracks, and it just sounded like mortars. So if you couldn't see behind the barracks, yeah. The poor guy doing CQ with David was freaking out, he had to turn on a fan and hold it next to his head.
In other news, Sid needs to hurry up and move out here. It's fun having someone to hang out with when I'm in the Springs and all the guys are working. Plus she has awesome video games.
I can't wait till she and Trevor are married!
Now I guess I'll go clean up more and wait for my mother to get here. So doom.

Mmm, my mother always used to be like that. Though for her it was more like I'll be there in a few minutes and then not showing up for a few hours...

Woo..it's definitely nice to have short hair again, especially in this heat. I feel about 10-15 degrees cooler now. Not to mention the fact that I can be in & out of the shower in under 5 min.
