So I really hurt my vocal cords yesterday. Which is awesome, as I have a choir concert on Monday. See, I am a very shy person, and so I usually sing very quietly. When I do sing loudly, it's usually in my chest voice. In choir yesterday, MB wanted us to sing fortissimo, and she kept saying louder, so we kept singing louder... the soprano note is an awkward high note that's too high for the chest voice but not high enough to comfortably belt.
In any case I sang louder in my head voice than I ever have before and it hurt me.
Also, UNC's concert hall sucks... except for the huge fucking organ in the corner of the stage!!! I mean huge, like, to the ceiling huge. If I can figure out how to get pictures off my phone I'll post it.
Also, I turned in my two weeks' notice and soon I'm going to be unemployed for the first time since I was 15.
