i live on an island! in a blue state!
i have been here for six hours so far and have already had thai food delivered (unheard of, haha!), visited assyemtric at whole foods for the first time, accidently found marc jacobs and the magnolia bakery and gotten lost in the west village. it was 72 degrees when i got here and now it's raining.. both of which i find perfect. and i discovered that my roommate subscribes to the new york times. and she carried my 85 pound suitcase up a flight of stairs.
in other words: I LOVES IT!
also: i read an article today about a marine mammals zoo trainer at the indianapolis zoo. she was talking about how her favorite sea lion died recently. his name was merlin and she would take him for rides around the zoo in her van.
can you imagine looking over and seeing a sea lion, buckled up in the front seat of a van? i love it.
