Do any of you watch Dexter? Whoo boy do I love that show. I don't think I have ever been so riveted by a thriller on tv. I'm into 24 and Lost, but I can find myself losing track of an episode during, for instance, a Lost flashback. I just know I'll never pick up on all the clues and they're kind of meaningless anyway since the writers don't even know where everything is going and not all the mysteries will be solved.
But anyway.. I NEVER look away from Dexter. I think I've only spread the gospel to one person so I'm hoping to convert more. If you have Showtime On-Demand, you should do a weekend marathon. In case you don't know, it stars David from Six Feet Under as a forensic scientist who is also a serial killer. But it's ok because he only kills bad people. Don't read below if you think you'll do the marathon. Which you WILL do.
So for those of you that do watch it.. Here is my theory..and maybe it's obvious or maybe i'm totally batty: I think Dexter and the Ice Killer are brothers who both saw their bio dad murder their mom during childhood. The Ice Killer staged the hotel bloodbath to bring up repressed memories. I would have thought that Deb, in all her womanly, annoying emotional fits was going to piece together the puzzle after one of her 'Dexter+Rudy together-time jealousy fits'. But the previews make it seem like Dexter figures it out based on the lip wound. And next week the Ice Killer is going to kidnap someone close to Dexter. I'm guessing his girlfriend since he always runs to rescue her.
I thought that after the puking/fainting incident Dexter was becoming human.. feeling emotions, revulsion to blood, didn't kill Paul, etc. But the show has been picked up for a second season and the whole premise would have to change if that was true.
Wasn't the heroin thing brilliant?
I knew who the Ice Killer was the very first time I saw him on screen!
