I know this is old news, so forgive me if someone's already brought this up.
On the cover of Time magazine is a picture of Jayson Blair smoking a cigarette. Now think to yourself, what's wrong with that? Nicole Kidman lights up at Cannes and the anti-smoking Nazis (sorry, I'm a smoker) practically have a collective heart attack. Think about it - when's the last time any major publication featured a picture of anyone smoking on their cover? I personally have never seen it before. But there Jayson Blair is, on the cover of Time, unshaven and smoking. And not a peep from anyone. Why?
Yep, you guessed it, because Jayson Blair is Bad. Even if you haven't read the numerous stories about him or watched any of the reports on T.V. you can tell he's Bad just by glancing at your local newsstand. Jayson Blair is there looking at you with his shifty eyes, lacking proper facial grooming and displaying his obviously sinister qualities by smoking a butt.
Thank you Time magazine, for doing my thinking for me. God forbid I someday stumble upon an unbiased news source. I don't know what I'd do if I actually had to make up my own mind about something.
