21 mile mountain bike ride this morning...not that i planned it that way, it just happened to end up at exactly 21.1 miles. Just like the old days of biking the concrete jungle of my birthplace, but without people screaming out of their car windows at you, flipping me the bird, or trying to knock me off the road with their rimmed-up hoopties. Someone makes an honest attempt to keep one less vehicle off the highway in addition to helping with environmental conservation and people seem to have a problem with it. I can assure you that it wasn't a Monday following a Bills loss either.
I've got shite to do and should probably attempt to partake in something a bit more constructive this evening. A concert would be fitting for the mood that I'm in, but unfortunately, bands rarely make it down this way when on tour. Why you ask?...well let me tell you...it's because this is the South and most people have never heard of half of the bands that I'd want to see. Now, if we were talking Garth Brooks or the Dixie Pricks, thatd be a different story completely as they never have a shortage of country music acts. I missed the last season of HeeHaw, so I'd feel a bit out of place at such a venue...in addition, i'm absent of the ten-gallon hat and spurred boots...thats not to say that they're not cool in their own rite.
Maybe i'll just go out for a bit....oh wait, they only have country & western bars here or strip clubs featuring the B-Team. I'd seriously consider taking out a loan and opening a dive of my own that caters to a crowd more fitting, but alas, I'd probably be the only patron.
Hmm...patron...Sainthood...maybe that should be my next journey.
...more later
