Oh, what a night...no, not really as nothing seemed to unfold like a Friday evening should...bad friday, bad friday...naughty little friday. If you're expecting something exciting, then read no further. This place is a sobering experience without the alcohol induced haze that made nightswimming almost bearable. I'd much rather stay home and chat with friends via the various modes of communication now available through the amazing discovery of modern technology. **Calling all Quantum Physics techies with your pocket protecting pen pouches**...i'm still waiting on a portal to travel from place to place on the drop of a dime. Is it my imagination, or do all good musicians & bands purposely avoid this part of the state, if not skipping out on NC all together when scheduling their tours...hmm, that is a statement in itself, paralleling this economically depressed village. I could just punch myself in the head right now...i completely forgot about the Killers concert in Athens, Ga last night & I had the day off, so i could have driven out there...arrgh. Ok, I'm going to quit complaining and go back to sleep as it seems to have been escaping me as of late. Robbie Williams is playing on the radio...what the f*ck! A country where he doesn't even sell a million copies of his albums, & gets little or no radio play, and he's on NC radio. This has got to be the twilight zone...and why do people tell me that I look like him? Please no, i've never wanted to be a pop star. Ok, I'm really going to sleep now.
Talked with some old friends that I hadn't spoken with in nearly a half a year...where were you people hiding?? So, I think that I now have plans for Thanksgiving...we'll see. I never seem to make it home for this holiday. 6 years & counting...maybe its because I hate turkey...hmm, I may be onto something here.
And to top it off...realizing that winter is just around the corner & there are no ski resorts in the South...why didn't we just let them secede from the Union?? F*ck, f#ck, f%ck, where am I going to snowboard? I would have never been a carpetbagger.
