Yet another Friday morning...or afternoon rather...following last eve's debacle. I find myself playing the double-D again so that my friends can partake in their alcoholic endeavors. However, this three day weekend is a nice consolation in return.
What do you do when living in a place that is socially, culturally, & economically removed from the remainder of America, and your friends have blacklisted nearly every bar and "club" (a term which i use loosely when referring to an establishment in F'nam) in the area? Well, if I'm going to be sober, I'd like to at least enjoy my surroundings and indulge in interesting conversation. A man can only partake in billiards for so long & the people aren't that amusing to just sit and watch. Karaoke bars suck!...despite actually getting up on stage to sing last night...yes, i really was that bored & Pearl Jam always strikes a cord with me. I was once a believer that there are no boring places, just boring people...well, that hypothesis may have been disproven since conducting my recent field experiments, beginning upon my arrival, some 14 weeks ago.

I have lived here for a year and the first time I went out in Fayetteville was last night and this was only because punishme told me about the band playing at her bar. Thank god for her because I had a wonderful time
