I just realized that I attended my 1st ever concert nearly 2 decades ago today...U2 Oct. 7th, 1987: Memorial Auditorium, Buffalo, New York (Joshua Tree tour). That day was, for the most part, my indoctrination into the power of live music. My current fascination with live performances (50+ a year) was born on that evening...18 years ago today.
To whom, when & where did you lose your concert virginity?
Again, i find myself sitting in this fake plastic place. And God, they happen to have an open mic night once a month...why does this have to be that night?? It would be one thing if there was some talent in the room, & honestly, i do admire their need for this sort of artistic interaction. Bloody hell, I've seen better performances at my niece's elementary school talent show...and i'm not exaggerating. I swear that if the likes of any great poet, writer, singer, artist were in this room, they would abruptly stop this pain before anyone further incriminates themselves.
