not that anyone is really going to see this, but i am back. what can i say? i like the naked women. and one the random times that i post on here, it is nice to just type things from time to time since i am pretty much anonymous on here. its nice to get shit off of my chest and not worry about an FB blowback or some other bullshit that goes along with it.
things have been crazy busy. especially with the beard club and my charity work.
i donated a painting to a large art silent auction that occurs here in charlotte every year called art with heart. i did Sesame, my friends' pug. it was a great event and i loved getting all schazzied up for it. with all of the work that i do for the local shelter and my date being a local domestic violence counselor, we were like the power couple of the night. mingled with the CEOs and doctors who were throwing the loot around for lots of local art. i was super stoked when my piece went for $330.
and we have gotten guys from the beard club to head over and cook and serve dinner to the clients at the shelter. it is amazing to be able to continue to educate folks about the CAUSE.
and coming up shortly, i am going to be profiled on www.BeardBrand.com as one of their "urban beardsman." it is super cool and with the first in the series being an actual olympian, i am in crazy company. i am a little torn on how to feel about the attention that i get from the charity. i love to promote and help, i just don't like the spotlight being on me. feels weird.
and i have been painting a little bit again lately. did the dog, a makeshift john coltrane, and then i did a portrait of a local friend and fellow beardsman. feels fantastic to get back on the canvas and just let things go.
the personal life has been the usual mess. an amalgam of meeting new people and making mistakes with friends that become "friends."
anyway, i might write more later. just wanted to say hello. and that i am back. for now.
