giddy the fuck up. full tilt busy as of late. nevermind the fucking nine hours a day i spend in my "slit your wrist grey" cubicle all day. Beards BeCAUSE is gearing up. we booked our last of three venues and almost all the bands have confirmed. then last week, i had the novel idea... why limit our participants to only guys growing beards? so this time around women and men can register to be growers and not have to grow beards (thankfully on the chicks end). then those two that raise the most money in their respective category will be going for the Bearded Lady and the Beardless Wonder Awards. the beard growers will vy for the most awards still... grizzliest adams for best beard, patch adams for the worst beard, old man river for the greyest, most money raised, MVG (most valuable grower which our All_Sewn_Up won the first time around) and the hand crafted after the girls from the bang! bang! salon get their hands on them. good stuff.
on top of that, i am helping out with the breath of fresh art for cystic fibrosis AND the rise and shine campaign at the whitewater park. AND helping a buddy with starting a motorclub. AND thinking about buying an old school 66 VW bug. AND i feel a little celebish as i was asked to emcee the Countrypolitan Jamboree here in the CLT on friday. four bands for ten bucks. little nervous. plus i forgot to check the schedule before i agreed to it. missing the smashing pumpkins. BUT i see stone temple pilots on sunday... stoked.
