Which Way is North?

While I do feel that I have gotten wiser with age, the world still doesnt make much sense to me. Its kind of like being that mouse that has figured out how to quickly get to the cheese but doesnt understand where the maze has come from or who is putting the cheese there. It leads me to question whether or not my North is the true North or not. Ive been assuming that was a right way because there were goals that I wanted to achieve and I did accomplish. But what if those goals were not what I really wanted? What if I was actually moving south, further and further away from what my true heart yearned for? And what about east and west? Whats going on over there? So the question now is, do I continue to follow the old compass or smash it and do something unexpected. I have pretty much lived my entire life jumping on opportunities but have rarely created my own.
