The Runners High.

I lot of things have been happening very quick in my life. I guess that can all be attributed to the time I have left before I join the service. I got into the Marine Corps about a month ago and now working on getting myself physically ready for the trials of boot. I have to lose another 10-15 pounds. I also need to work on my pull ups and crunches. Since my running is at a great number.

I'm glad and proud of all that I have accomplished thus far. I went from being an overweight 300+ fat boy shut in...

to a now 205 pounds future Marine and avid runner.

(That is me after my first cold run. I went 3.25 miles at a snails pace but I worked my ass off.)

And so since there is a time limit on the life I have now I found myself starting to be more daring. I got out a little bit more instead of staying at home. I tell the girls that they are beautiful to their face then just admiring them from afar. Despite that coming back to bite me on the ass a little bit more than usual.

In fact my best friend since Highschool who I have been developing feelings for just rejected me. I was honest with her and told her that I cared for her more deeply than a friend. Despite her denying me I know that she will always be close to me. Which is a relief.

Oh, another thing that has come up was being told that I am a highrisk for not being ready in time for ship. I aim to prove all of them wrong.

Good luck dude!  It's good to see someone putting themselves out there more and risking rejection.  It's something I've got to work on a bit myself.

Good Luck! And honestly I wish I had half the courage to tell someone I like them. So many kudos on that! Good luck on your marine journey and thanks for being willing to serve
