Well, I got a call back from 2 bands that I sent tracks to. I ended up with 4 different e-mails from 4 totally different bands. 2 of them I kinda dismissed easily due to content / lack of organization. These are the 2 that I am struggling to decide between.
1)Dark Gothic original rock. 3 albums to their credit. Sold albums as far away as the UK. The musicians are all educated musically and talented.
2)Blues Rock cover/some orig. More along the lines of Stevie Ray.....Currently playing around in the bigger clubs. Good musicians as well.
The problem I face internally is that for the last year I have been playing in a band that all my family and friends have been able to come watch, dance and party. However it is not the music that I love. If I choose band #2 that will be the exact same situation. It is music they will all like. It was fun having them all come out.
If I go with band #1 then I will fulfill my need musically but will not have as many of my "posse" involved. I also would be not playing clubs that I wanted to play when I was in the cover band.
I am leaning towards band #1, And preparing myself for an onslaught of "when is he going to grow up" My answer would be "when I die" .

I got the link...clicked on it...and then sat here like a dope wondering why I wasn't hearing anything....
I completely forgot that my husband took my speakers to use upstairs with his portable DVD player. He's napping at the moment because he's feeling not so hot...so I'll be nice (for once) and not wake him up.
But I'm definately going to give them a listen as soon as he wakes up and I can get my speakers back!
