Here is my problem for this week. I am playing in a Classic Rock band with guys at least 10 years older than I am. I enjoy the music but it's not my personal favorite.

From what I have heard from all the other bands out there, we are one of the best musically. Show wise these guys suck. They look old ,fat and ugly. I don't think this band will get into the bigger bar circuit just because of that. I am a little tired of playing the small clubs.

I am their 5th drummer and if I quit they are probably done, as I don't think they want to go through the hiring process again. They are good guys and this band is their therapy from life's grind.

Part of me wants to find a younger band that plays more current music. I would have a really hard time facing them and quitting because I don't like hurting people. The worst part of my guilt is that I don't want to do it for the money. I think it is more about the noteriety that I crave. Years ago I was in a band that played to large crowds all the time and I miss that. Selfish, Selfish, Selfish.......
