Congrats!!! That's excellent.

Things are good over here - just a little restless because there's nothing left to do but wait for the settlement on the house to happen - which will be the 31st. Then on to a hotel for a few days while that lovely fat check goes through and we are OUT of here. Can't get here fast enough as far as we're concerned

It's funny - on the subject of busy schedules....I used to absolutely LOVE having a crazy, tightly packed agenda.
Not so much anymore. Getting old is a bitch I still like to keep fairly busy - but I find that I require a few more hours for down time nowadays.

Okay, so I found this new method of doing the SG site while at work so I don't have all these open browser windows for my co-workers to spy when they are sneaking up behind me. Thank gawd for headphones at work ... and curses to the evil men who think it is funny to use my headphones against me as I jump 10' in the air when they are just suddenly behind me. So what I do is have this page as the homepage on an Outlook folder and then IE never has to open up. The only problem with this method is that I will be typing a comment and then halfway through, forget what I'm doing and click on another folder. Bye bye, half finished comment. Like what just happened. I'm sure it was the most brilliant comment I was ever going to leave for you and I apologize that your life has been robbed of its wisdom and beauty because of my carelessness ... but I'll try again! This comment is like Tenacious D's Tribute song ... Suzy's tribute to the best comment ever written!

Shutting down works for me, too. It just doesn't work for any of the others around me. Some days I actually care about that. Most days ... meh!

But my #1 way of coping with overscheduling is to just forego sleep. My grandma used to tell me that you need less sleep as you get older and I have lived like I believed her for the last 25 years (because 16 IS older than say, 10).

Today someone brought brownies to work so at 9:35 AM I am flying high from 2 cups of coffee and 2 chocolatey things. That helps, too! Well, it doesn't clear the schedule ... but if feels like I can leap tall projects (and consequences) with a single bound. Geez, can't wait for 4:20 to roll around so I can *regulate* ... I think there is really something wrong with me this morning.

Well ... you know what time it is. I said it outloud at work today but no one seemed to notice. Puff, puff, pass, dude!

Ha ha--I keep getting that reaction to my trip. But its Holland, Michigan--think Kalamazoo area. I wish it were the country though--it'd be a lot more interesting.

*sigh* I think I'm actually going to have to work today. It's Thursday and it's really hard to put a whole week's worth of tasks off until Friday.

I was on the phone yesterday and said something like ... well, it's 4:20 and blah, blah ... I was interrupted by the guy on the other line ... IT'S 4:20?!? ... geez, this job just interferes with so many of my happy pleasures. But I thought of you at that moment.

I will be in Seattle somewhere around 4/18 or 4/19 or something like that. You can buy me a drink then if you like. One of the goals of my roadtrip is to get a picture of me kissing a girl for my journal so I will be needing all the drinks I can get! Of course, I'm having martinis with raejay next week at Musso & Franks. She said she was a WHORE for a martini so really never know.

I'm telling you ... I don't think that the tattoo is going to look like that when it is healed. The skin blew up in a couple places and it looks like the ink spread. It's the weirdest thing ... I have never seen this before. But I'm not committing to anything until it's healed. You really never know.

And take all the time you need to read it ... I'm sure I won't update again today.

Nope ... not home. Yes ... always okay. This is just the start of a whole new adventure. My day has been anything but boring ... but I did get to relax a great deal. It rocks to be me today! How's the practice coming? You all ready? I really wish I could help you shop. I love shopping!

Hey, you should play a gig the day I'm in Seattle so I can hear you. There will be a journal update tomorrow, I sure, but I have to work in the morning and I'm not going home tonight so it might not be until later in the day. I like this weekend. Of course there will be pictures...

That's funny ... the large pink boobs follow me around, too. Sometimes I think ... wow, I'd like to squeeze those boobs. And then I remember. And then I do.

If only 4:20 meant something here at work. All it means today is that I'll be about 1 hour and 10 minutes away from happiness.

I'm thinking that I should put it on my arm now ... so I can see it, too. I'm sure that won't hurt nearly as much. I have time to figure it out. But then that leaves a bare shoulder. *sigh*

I want to get a tattoo in Seattle while I'm there next month. I don't know why. It just seems like a good way to remember a vacation ... but seeing as I'm hitting something like 7 or 8 states in as many days ... don't know that there is time. Not to mention that I know NOTHING about Seattle. Never been further north than about 60 miles past San Francisco.

You know, people just expect too much out of me. Like thinking. Thinking is SOOOO over-rated.

Yep - been doing some writing this morning. Couple of pages and making a few changes here and there - so Monday is going pretty well thus far

Musicians are a rare and strange breed. I know, I live with one, and manage/publicize the band (well, I try). I'm glad you hit it off with the bass player and had a good time. You play drums, right? Is that what you would be doing with this band?

That is friggin GORGEOUS ink!!! I really, really hope you can find another good artist to finish that up for you.

I know what you mean about going downhill after waking up I feel like that a lot more than I care for.

And I'm not *completely* out of debt - but I did manage to knock off almost all of it. Yeah - it's going to be one less stress factor.

I completely forgot that my husband took my speakers to use upstairs with his portable DVD player. He's napping at the moment because he's feeling not so hot...so I'll be nice (for once) and not wake him up.

But I'm definately going to give them a listen as soon as he wakes up and I can get my speakers back!

I get SO freaked out when I think about sending out chapters and a synopsis to agents.......the idea of someone in some office somewhere telling me that this work I've bled over isn't good enough.....

And yep - same for me with my husband. He manages to keep me grounded in at least one area of life....and really, it's the one that matters the most, don't you think?

The writing went amazingly well yesterday - I managed to crank out 10 pages of pretty decent stuff. I'm at least reasonably clear on how it's going to end - which is a BIG weight off the shoulders.
