I apologize in advance for not visiting your journals. All hell is breaking loose and all I can do is run around with a fire hose and try to put the fire out. Oh well, the good news is my sense of humor is back and the rage that was building up has gone back down to wherever the it hides... Lurking crawling waiting for... Read More
I have a fuck it and/or fuck you attitude today and has paid off at work already. I declined a gig yesterday for the first time with The Sins. It was on July 4th and my family comes first. No way in hell I am going to tell my wife and kid that I will be gone that day. Lead singer was not happy but... Read More
Warning this is kind of long, kind of boring, and a little whiny. So if you choose not to click imagine that I wrote the funniest journal entry in the history of the internet and enjoy your day.
I am much better today, but still a bit slow in the head...
I am excited because there are 2 different parties interested in the deal that would enable me to among other things build a studio (rehearsal, and a lower end recording). Still no certainty but this is more action than ever before so.......
Before, some of you remember, I was going to also... Read More
Nope didn't work. In fact, people telling me NOT to do something or more importantly, that I CAN'T do something, just makes me more into doing it. I'm just a pain in the ass like that.
Well, my son says that maybe it's not the *END* of the world, just the end as we know it. He's thinking time travel. That would be okay, too, because it would handle that situation above, too.
'Course, I'm thinking ... with ME traveling through time ... I'm bound to do something that make the world blow up. And now we're back to Square One!
But since OldSkoolPat says that he had a college test with a question relating to this that claims the exact date is December 23, 2012 ... think of how much anxiety we can save by not Christmas shopping!
On the other hand, if he's wrong ... our families are going to be very unhappy with us.
You have given me a new goal! If I can travel back in time, perhaps I could do something to ensure that they didn't fix that Y2K bug. Because come on ... that was a big disappointment when *nothing* happened that day. I can only take so much gloom and doom without actual explosions.
This was my night last night. Crashed at 11:00p.m. after Golf Tourney. Woke up at 12:45 a.m, not sure why. Lay in bed trying to go back to sleep. Goose starts honking in my back yard at 2:30 a.m. I get up at 3:30a.m and watch the following. 1977's "The Goodbye Girl",(100 channels and that's the best I could find?) , a sea nature show,... I was hired for a party at Calix, an art gallery across the street from Fenix Underground.... Where The Sins broke the stage... Right? (Theres a pic of the gig in my may 17th journal)
I can't get your music to play from soundclick etc.... I suck at technology.
Hey, good luck with that! That is awesome that you are playing golf instead of, ummm, working. My baby is on the way home right now ... and they are fixing my floor in my bathroom right now (odd, the day after the inspection ) ... so I might just have a good weekend.
Hooray! Friday is here. Today I am going to go get more done on my arm (not the bicep yet). I have room for 1 more main piece and then the background to tie it all together.
I have 2 shows coming up in Downtown Seattle. Looking forward to those. They are at good venues and one of them is all ages. Those tend to... Read More
1. Riskiest thing I'd tell anyone about is probably motorcycle racing on Sunset Strip at 120+, back before there was a helmet law, in bumper to bumper weekend night traffic.
2. Melbourne or Sydney
3. Tough one, I couldn't pick just one, I'd have to say Elvis, Ramones, Led Zepplin, Alice Cooper. But, that really doesn't cover it all.
4. Drip or Latte...either, I don't care as long as it started out as a coffee bean.
Training is going awesome! In fact, I just got back from a run not too long ago. I love exercise.
Now, to answer your questions:
1) Skydiving
2) Wellington, New Zealand
3) Public Enemy
4) Drip, but only my special concoction of espresso and breakfast blend
5) My league's very first roller derby exhibition, July 17. It's going to be amazing to see something I created from nothing come to fruition.
My profile pic is made in the darkroom with negative sandwiching. It is my favorite style of photography. I also did the pictures of my friend sullen, you can see some of them on her page, which is linked to my page.
I'm driven by society's standards of beauty. I try and take things that are beautiful, and filter them in some way, that most people find repulsive... but I try to get them to still see the beauty in it. I don't believe that beauty comes from the outside, so I express that. Even in my drawings!
Kinda think that I'm at that mom ain't so cool phase with they youngin'. "No Mommy! I can do it."
