Felt pretty shitty yesterday night. Every so often I go through these hate spells where people can look at me and just know that I'm not to be fucked with, whatsoever, at that particular moment. I wish I could feel like that all the time, but as soon as I take a nap I'm all refreshed 'n shit. Last night was bad, I'm still kind of pissed but for good reason. Anyway, in other boring crap, I have some cash stowed for seein Hitchiker's Guide when it comes out. Not really sure what's worth watching after that. Just have to wait till summer.
I guess that one reason I'm feeling better today is because I finally found some inspiriation and had some good ideas for a story/screenplay I've been too buggered to work on for months now as a result of serious writer's block. But now that I'm over that hump, I can get back to it. Somewhat. Just in case anyone's wondering wth it's about, here's a summary that's in dire need of revising:
"Bushido's Reign is one of the few samurai based ideas I have ready to be fleshed out, but is, by far, the most complex. Inspired by the cinematographic style of "Versus", and the music track "East Hastings" by God Speed You Black Emperor, BR is set in the near future of an alternate universe's Japan in which the Axis Powers succeeded in winning World War II. After 50 years full of conspiracy, controversy, and conflict, Japan has been thrown back into a chaotic era of warring territories while the Imperial House gains industrial power overseas. The story centers on no one character, but you can say the person whose actions impact on most everyone elses is Takahashi, an AWOL samurai in search of his missing master. He leads a small but skillful band of ronins in a war against the yakuzas of Hiroshima. Cutting through their ranks, Takahashi soon finds that the shogunate government is more than involved in many recent abductions and that his actions have made the state army direct its attention toward his group. The way I'll present it will be more of a series of events than a storytelling, like a documentary."
(guess I'm fight club group material after all. Or maybe not. I'm still a lazy fuckwit)
