Cockasaurus.

Mr. Toll is in town and I had an excellent night last night. me and the roomie along with Toll and Sharonda went to spectors then to west street. great stuff. More sitcom contacts. Today eddie went to a wedding that I could have joined him at but I planned my day around a call that hasn't come yet. I'm reading and doing wash...

Their latest bit tore a page right out of his sound.
But otherwise I was just messin' around.

I'd have to use my toes to count how many bands I can think of that are heavily influenced.
And this I have no problem with.
vuokko:
Wow, that sounds unfun to the nth degree. I avoid that whenever possible. I am too busy to, usually! tongue But I have done it before and agree that it is the lameness.

You're making a sitcom?

Some quote whoring here. Toll comes into town tomorrow. I need to get something done other than wash. the Metro will come back alive very soon. Manyana it looks like. I'v been thinking of Kate before I go to sleep. I miss her but it wasn't meant for that time. I hope she is doing well.

We cannot waste time. We can only waste ourselves....

Wow, that person wasn't back for long! "What'd you do?!?!"
vuokko:
Oh, yeah, I forgot to say-- he didn't agrue anything about Kinsey's research methodology. He hadn't even heard of the Kinsey Report. He just said that he didn't know very many gay people and he never did anything with another guy, so it must be wrong. We call this "Proof by Example" and it usually prooves nothing except that the person trying to use it is clutching at straws.

An excerpt from Orwell's Down and Out in Paris and London. It is quite good and availible free and legal here: http://www.netcharles.com/orwell/books/downandout.htm

"Or there was Henri, who worked in the sewers. He was a tall, melancholy man with curly hair, rather romantic-looking in his long, sewer-mans boots. Henris peculiarity was that he did not speak, except for the purposes of work, literally for days together....

Sorry I didn't get to the lecture.

Being high would probably make the job more interesting, but it was only a two weekend gig.
edmundog:
I did read your comment, but I still disagree. The ELF may not have killed anyone, but maybe firing a machine gun into a building might not kill anyone. But it might. I amend my statement to say they are attempted murderers.

That said, I LOVE the Office specials. They concluded everything so perfectly. Even David got a happy ending. I was just saying to my friend that if Fox does cancel Arrested Development, the least they could do is give them a couple hours to wrap everything up. A guy can dream, eh?

Badiou was great. I have a few Graham Greene books I am going to read today.

"One way would be for the House Judiciary Committee to investigate the clause in the Constitution that says "judges can serve as long as they serve with good behavior," he said. "We want to define what good behavior means. And that's where you have to start.""

A Fox News link AND a Stockula quote in my journal? Now that's just wrong... tongue

wink

On Ann Coulter, yes, I concur that she is in fact a dripping hose pipe. It amazes me that she gets this fluff piece on a platter from the nozzles at Time Magazine, and she's bent out of shape because the cover pic makes her look bad. No, Ann, that's genetics making you look bad. Genetics, and the evil aura emanating from that black pit you call a heart. If it were me, I'd be throwing a brick at the bitch, not a pie. mad
attack_macaque:
Oh, and I definitely concur with your "in my dreams..." reply to Stockula, especially the part about the bus falling on Lieberman, Pelosi & Feinstein. biggrin

Badiou was really good. I'm lazy and drunk. Will write more later. I hope I pass out and get some sleep.

Our democracy is not perfect. But it's better than the bloody dictatorships. Capitalism is unjust. But it's not criminal like Stalinism. We let millions of Africans die of AIDS, but we don't make racist nationalist declarations like Milosevic. We kill Iraqis with our airplanes,...
