Aluminum is not a very strong material. It is for its weight, put it's not that strong and when it's reduced to particles, it's flammable. Not much remained from the fuselage of the planes that crashed into the WTC towers, either. They mostly disintegrated and burned up on impact. The biggest parts left from those two planes were the turbofan engines that are made of steel.
