The fact of the matter is that I can understand a typical Southerner, New Englander, Pacific Northwestener, Appalchian, Ozarkian, or any other American accent much more easily than someone whose first language is not English.

Of course, there are exceptions. I might have someone from a rural part of the Deep South or an insular part of Appalachia, but that's life, isn't it? Those people shouldn't work in national call centers, either.

I came away from watching Bowling for Columbine with a different opinion to that of it being the ready availability of guns and the policies of the NRA. I thought it was more to do with the climate of fear, conformity and consumerism. I did notice the appauling cutting of the Charlton Heston part.

The funny thing is that the guy did really read what the manager said and then none of you did either. Joe is saying for her first role he dosen't think it is right for her to play a lesbien. she could say no or fire him but shes with his desicion.
I think he saying she dosen't have the chops yet. Both Swank and Hanks had already proven themselves on stage and film before trying to play the charecters that won them oscars. perhaps her father is woried she fuck it up if the charecter is too much of a stretch. if she did that would pretty much end her career, as fabricated as it is.
He has a duty to his daughter and client. in this case it dosen't seem very PC, but again, fuck PC.
