I keep having this disturbing sense of dread that something really bad is going to go down before the next presidential election, as a precursor to Bush trying to stay around past the end of his second term. Call me paranoid, but I never seriously thought I would live to see the day when the talking heads in this country were seriously discussing the merits of torture and domestic spying, and casually dismissing the politically motivated outing of undercover CIA operatives.

I guess cognitive dissonance is something they've learned to cope with.
