Well, it's technically Christmas, so Merry Christmas every body.
Christmas Eve has kicked ass so far. To make a long story short, after visiting with parents and exchanging presents, ended up at my cousin's house (this is after my Dad had to drive my truck over there cause I was so fucking drunk....then we had to install a dishwasher for my cousin - which was weird because I've never done that drunk before, and that was pretty much the last thing I would expect to be doing on Christmas Eve).
My cousin and her mother and my cousin's daughter and I scoured the city for any place that was open and stumbled on a Walgreens clear on the otherside of town (ended up doing some last minute grocery shopping and bought myself a pair of very kick ass slippers - never owned slippers before). Then back to her place so her daughter could open presents while her and I got drunk.
Now, her daughter, my fourteen year old cousin/niece is a fucking prude. No two ways about it - she's a prude. A very cool kid, but she is so unlike her mother it's disheartening. For example I offer her a sip of my very kick ass wine and she flatly refuses because it has alcohol in it.
Also, she is fourteen and has never had egg nog before, so her mother and I decided it was high time she had egg nog. After her being unusually prudeish we decided to...well...yeah...you guessed it - make her some REAL egg nog

Getting her to drink it was the hardest part! I made it so good you literally could not taste the alcohol, but I suspect she knew what we were doing. Either way, we made her drink most of it. She caught a very obvious buzz, but didn't say anything (though when she noticed she was buzzing she got psychosomatically sick to her stomach for all of five minutes). If we ever admit doing this she will completely and totally flip out - and that's OK. I'm just glad she unwound for a couple hours. She was totally enjoying herself, and I'm glad cause she not only needed it, but deserved it.
Now, I am still quite drunk, so I will finish these Doritos, possibly make myself a sandwhich, definitely drink some soda (and maybe then another glass of wine ) and then fall asleep reading one of my Dune books. Too bad I have to wake up in seven hours to drive very far out of town, but it'll be a good day tomorrow....or today??....whatever....

This morning around 6:00 am I was watching the news and saw that south texas was getting it's first white christmas ever , did you get any snow ? I caught two five pound blackfish and tree small winter flounder this morning out on Long Island sound in my kayak , I just had to get out for an hour or so cause I was starting to have fishing withdrawal symptoms .

I was surprised to see snow for that area , we didn't have any snow up here though we are supposed to have a light dusting for monday morning . It did get real fucking cold overnight so my fingers got real numb this morning while fishing .
