Got my truck back from the shop. Including getting it towed twice it only cost $260 bucks for a brand-new exhaust system. Less the towing, it was actually like $130 for it. And I got a nice, cheap little aftermarket performance muffler for no extra charge. Nice sound and a noticeable amount of extra power.
Am very tired. Very, very tired. Maybe if I'm lucky I can grab a quick nap sometime tonight.
Tomorrow I drive up to Boerne for the family thing. As I contemplate this, I realize I just spent a hundred and thirty bucks to go. Cause if I'd had an extra day I would have just sprung the extra hundred and fifty bucks for the super bad ass exhaust system I want, but I didn't have the time cause I wouldn't have gotten my truck back until this weekend, and most likely not even until Monday. Not acceptable. So I essentially wasted a hundred and thirty bucks to go visit my Grandpa but, you know what? I'd gladly have spent ten times that.
Shit, my truck is super dirty. Disgustingly so. Before I drive out to the family thing in the morning I'll need to run it through a quick car wash. Don't want the first time they see my new truck to be when it's all dirty - I'll never hear the end of it.
Anyways, have a happy Thanksgiving. As usually, I'll probably post again around two in the morning when I give up trying to get some sleep. But, until then, enjoy your evening.
