just finished reading "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep" by Phillip K. Dick (the book the movie BLADE RUNNER with Harrison Ford was based on).
All I can say is "wow".
Started off kind of weird, especially considering how many times I've seen the movie (the director's cut - the original cut really sucks and is a wholly different movie then the director's cut...though most "director's cuts" are the exact same movie with an extra five minutes, this new cut was completely different then the original).
The funny thing is, the book couldn't be more different then the movie. Only the names of some characters were the same, that's it. Seriously. Everything else is different. Yet, having read the book, I realize that the movie so perfectly compliments the book. The movie is a homage to the book and the author.
All and all, I would strenously recommend this book. I read it in less then twenty-four hours, so that should say a lot.
