I tried my new "chum" (chum is technically bait you throw out to attract fish into the area you're fishing - only I use cattle/livestock feed) - 20% range cubes. $6.19 at the local feed store for 50lbs. Used to use them a lot on the ranches I worked - kind of like candy for the animals. This chum worked waaaaaaaaay too good. I feed...

five in the AM and the local rock station is playing the "old stuff" like pearl jam and alice in chains and nirvana. maybe not "golden oldies", but it's always nice to wake up to the music of your youth. the memories are incredible and help to push the tiredness out of your eyes and the sleepiness out of your head. i'm surprised i got...

Haven't tried Propel yet.

I've heard stories of making coffe with Propel instead of water for that extra energy burst. Or just to fuck with co workers wink

i just had the greatest fucking barbecue of my entire life. my entire life. i wish to kick my own ass for waiting nine years to try this barbecue place that has, literally, been ten minutes away from me at all places i have ever lived in San Antonio. why is "dirty dancing" such a kick ass movie?

you know, i stayed in those hotels where the movie was shot - Lake Luna (Lunar Lake?) in the Carolinas. pretty cool place. bitchin', actually.

thanks for your comment on my advice thingy.. I sent in that about two weeks ago and now I'm glad I never fully fell for what she said. I was suppose to go see her last weekend and when I was about halfway down there she sent me a text message (she wasn't even woman enough to call) but it said that she had met this guy that she had a great feeling about and wanted to see how things would work out with him.

I realize now..that, despite the problems I have (everyone has some problems) but I deserve someone that treats me just as well as I treat them. It may take a while, but sooner or later we will find each other.

today was an unusually good day, by my standards at least. great? maybe not great, but definitely well above average. i think i need to start drinking in the afternoon more often wink . just got back from the lake (showed up around nine, flirted with the cute, tiny little girl in the ticket booth/bait shop for a while, then set about fishing). only caught one...

That's the best time for them to give you a credit card. Then they think you might pay off other bills or rack up higher debt. They get all excited about the interest they'll collect when you've maxed out your card. They get off on it. Really, I think they do.

I have a powerbook on my wishlist if you're looking for a place (other than your truck) to spend money wink

i need to drink before going to class more often. not only did it make the class go by much faster, but afterwards i got into an argument with my teacher that turned into a rather lengthy, kick ass conversation about business, politics, and world situations. apparently at one time in the late-90s he had a business that supplied 20% of bulk fabric to the...

I’ve always had a profound understanding that I was on this planet, during this time period, for a reason. Nothing so grandeuse as I am destined for greatness; I don’t feel that I would be well suited for the rigors of greatness. Nor do will I ever contribute something of astronomical importance to society. No, I am here to witness something.
I’ve known this since...

now i remember why i quit drinking....

i'm going to go visit my grandmother. it's been a while. plus i could use from fresh country air right about now. and some asshole keeps calling, but not leaving a message on the answering machine, so the "disconnected" sound keeps beeping through my machine at full volume and it's REALLY not enjoyable in my present state...
girly:
Oh, sorry, that's me that keeps calling. You said you needed to get laid.... wink

I didn't want to leave a message, I wanted to talk dirty to you tongue

ah, yes, let the drinking commence.

so, before i get too sloppy drunk to type, let me type.

The Assault Weapon Ban.

As a gun advocate, I cannot stand beside anything I believe will truly ban weapons. Therefore, I do stand beside this, because this ban is a junkyard dog without teeth; it's purely cosmetic and totally useless.

Pundits would have you believe that this...

Okay, I've read this a few times now. Late last night and now, which is far too early for me. Anyway, I completely agree that it was useless legislation. The ban was lifted and, surprise, there aren't a billion people running around with assault weapons all of a sudden.

Yes, people are actually stupid enough to believe that you weren't able to buy these weapons legally before the ban was lifted.
girly:
I got your email...I've read it a few times and I can honestly say that I don't know enough about it to say anything worthwhile. I'll try again when I wake up some more.

everyone in San Antonio needs to read this.

there is a CARL'S FUCKIN' JUNIOR at 410 South and I-35 South. Just go south a little past the interchange, exiting immediately, and going to the LOVE'S Gas station - the one with all the semi trucks.

as far as I know, this is the only one in all of Texas. certainly the only one i've seen...

OK, I need to clarify something.

There's a lot of very wrong information in the news about the Assault Weapon Ban. Very wrong.

What the Assault Weapon Ban did was ban MUZZLE FLASH SUPPRESORS and BAYONETS. This was ONLY on guns manufactured after 1994 (mid-year or so). This means any weapon manufactured prior to I believe September 1994 was legal no matter what the ban says.

For example, in 2001 I purchased an AK-47 with a flash suppresor and an SKS (with a bayonet).

All the flash suppresor does is hide the muzzle flash created by a cartridge being fired. Literally it just disperses the flame in many directions, instead of one. It does not make the weapon "silent" or even quieter. I do, however, support this - there's no reason one would need a flash suppresor.

Uzis were not banned. AK-47s were not banned. AR-15s (literally just civilian M-16s that don't fire three round bursts of bullets) were still legal. The ONLY thing it changed was bayonets and flash suppresors.

So why the fuck is it such a big deal? If they'd put some teeth in the ban, then we'd really have something to bitch about on TV, now wouldn't we?
