ok, so lots of stuff!

no turbo because my Z is a '77 and they flex too much, even with the frame upgrades available (there's a kit to stiffen the frame that people use for turning Z's into convertibles). The 280's are just not very good for engine upgrades.

I want to do a V8 conversion on a '70-'71 240Z because they have the stiffer frame and are slightly easier to smog. I would be going for a conventional 350 V8 because it's easy to work on, and I like to as much as possible myself. Besides, I have always wanted to hear the exhaust notes of a Chevy V8 coming out of my car. This is the best of both worlds. Not sure about specs exactly, I need to do a bit more research before I start looking for a car to buy, but I'll get lots of power out of a crate V8 in that car - it's a little bit like taking the engine from a motorcycle and sticking it on a go-ped.

Good luck with the not smoking. Maybe you'll be able to cut down sll the way pretty soon. It sucks, but it's totally worth it.

I feel the same way about Bush. the_cowboy is pretty understanding, but when I went to visit him last fall, I couldn't wear my "Kerry/Edwards" pins or talk politics at all because College Station is "Bush country." I'm fortunate that my parents are very intelligent and help to back me up when I get into the same argument with my two aunts and an uncles who say that I'll understand when I'm older. Bullshit! I understand that my friends and peers are being killed in a war that we have almost no support for and which we are sending our soldiers in unprepared for!!! WTF?!? Sorry. I get a little excited.

School and work, that is all. Going out when I have the time to. Over the weekend that just passed I got crazy drunk on saturday, had a hangover sunday. Went out for pool and drinks on friday. Good weekend was had.

Oh, and I just found out that the guy who my ex cheated on me with, cheated on her. She called me up on the phone an hour or so ago. hehehehe...can't help but feel good about this...it's so rare that you witness the full spectrum of karmic retribution; the bad deed through the repayment. Somehow, in the grand scheme of things beyond our petty little relationship, I find witnessing these events so utterly vindicating....if only because they happen to me so often...
