My next-door neighbor growing up had the same attitude... I remember when the IRS showed up at his house and towed away all his cars and siezed all his bank accounts. His wife had to get groceries from my mom because they couldn't afford them (he was a lawyer!). When he passed away a few years ago, the IRS siezed the house and sold it and his kids got very little as far as an inheritance...
They will come get it and it isn't fun at all.....
I don't want to fund Bush's bullshit either, but I really don't want to be audited again. Besides, I make my money in cash, so it's harder for them to track. I claim a fair amount (and pay through the nose as an independent contractor), but not all.
