Way back in high school there was a time when I drove my parent's battered old dodge caravan.
We'd blown the speakers in the original stereo years before playing really bad rap while waiting for the parents to come out of whatever store they were running errands in.
We couldn't drive around in a car with no music, though, so we took a home speaker we had sitting around and went to town. It's amazing how good a home speaker bought out of the back of a van connected to an ancient stereo with lamp chord can sound.
The stupid thing worked, it made great music for over a year. Then we gave that ugly slow old thing to the women's shelter so they could cart around donations. I don't think they kept the speaker.

Sometimes my life feels like that. No idea how all of the parts and pieces manage to work together, but I'm not going to mess with a good thing no matter how precarious it seems now and then.
