So why is it I have such a god-awful feeling in my chest and in the pit of my stomach today?
I usually shrug off Valentine's Day, but this year it's filling me with the sensation of Armageddon or something. Think I'm going to hide under my bed till this thing blows over....
I'm diabetic so I don't really dig on the whole candy thing,...

Okay, so I've been really slacking off on the whole journal thing....
Work and Homelife have kept me a bit busy as of late (Work=bad, Homelife=pretty good), but things should be calming down now....hopefully....
The last Casio should be arriving today...kinda sad that I won't have any more packages to look forward to. But that means I can completely dive into recording. 7 Casios, 2...

So after taking a sick day yesterday
(and spending most of the time in bed with my new synth) I'm back at work and wishing the students would return as well. Really nothing to do here now that registration is over. So I'm spending the day downloading Tim Buckley songs and drawing diagrams for recording projects....ah, what fun....
On a different note, I've decided to...

So cold....so very, very cold.....
Got an email from an old friend in LA today. I'm so jealous of him right now. Though about calling in sick to work this morning, didn't feel like waiting for the 'L' when the temp was -4 (-27 wind chill. I hate Lake Michigan...). On a positive note, the last of the Casios arrived yesterday, get to pick it...

the cold sucks. but just wait in a few months you will be complaining about the heat... you need to get yourself to a place with mild weather. it never gets that hot or cold in seattle. of course we have to put up with the 90 days in row of rain. oh well. i guess no place is perfect.
congratulations on the korg. i have this cool Yamaha CS-20 keyboard, and yeah it can be a pain to tune and setup but it's cool. at least there some memory to store sounds you have come up with.
well, back to waking up.

I need to stop slacking off on my journal updates, and get around to responding to everyone else's too...
(There's no real news to report, just casios, work is boring, blah blah...so I'll just be commenting on my day as it progresses)
right now there's an asian girl here in the lab that smells really good....
the lab is now flooded with cute teenage girls....

lol.....funny how this works, you left a message on another person's log saying you HAD to call in someone who mentionned Chadbourne AND Beefheart in the same message, and i just have to do the same when i see Eno, , Soft Machine and Marcel Duchamps ....
i want to hear the strange sounds you're doing with old electronic stuff. Is that possible ?

Okey-Dokey, an journal update, finally....
Been a good week overall....had a surprise visit at work from Lisa on Wednesday which was lovely. Then I almost got fired yesterday for going off on someone. I'd hate to lose this job, but it wasn't enough to get me down....Went out last night and heard some good music but I'm really needing a nap now...Work at home has...

Oh man, been there before. I just wish it was easier to get Saturn games other than that site. And their whole insurance thing didn't help.

Ooohhh, what a holiday.....
At least UPS delivers today, which means the cheap keyboard experiments continue. Now it's time for a trip to Radio Shack...
The weekend has been slow, except for a few beers Saturday night at the Skylark. The quiet is nice because the next couple of week of work will be rough, and will probably require heavy drinking. I found out last...

good luck with the sk-1. i agree with the fianc bit. was a slow weekend myself, except for the date. which went pretty well, but can see it more as just a friendship. which is cool too.
runelateralus:
Don't worry about that man, I already got everything picked since the first week of registration, filled out and payed up, so you won't have to see me sneak down to the residence computer lab to pester you.
And I hate Oasis too. They send me an email for my registration saying that I could register on the Friday of that week, but then, I got another email on the Thursday of the week saying I was able to register on the day before. Made me want to take an axe to that piece of shit Oasis...even if I did get all the classes I needed.
As for SG burlesque, things are looking better on me going.
Have fun with the keyboard experiments!

So a late night of Casios and thinking, which always happens after I see Lisa. And reading annajoy's journal yesterday contributed to it quite a bit. I don't really feel like I'm in a rut, but I'm going to have to make some changes soon. Like finishing school, for starters. I guess I've been in sort of a holding pattern since the summer and...

oh man. im already back. that sucks. but thats ok. im going back whenthe warm comes around. to spend another long weekend in the city. on the weird park you got there, and cruise around. i figured out the city real quick. chicago isnt hard to understand. id never been there before, so driving i was all in awe. i was intimidated by all the busy andd the skyline. now it seems homey. easy. the intimidation is no longer there. and thats definantly good. i love chicago.
Excited today because I get to see Lisa (see my pics) after work. Haven't seen her since before Thanksgiving and I have no idea how I've made it this far. And afterwards I have another package waiting at the post office for me. I was actually late for work this morning, stayed up all night messing with the drum beats on the PT-80. God that...

aww, thank you for your kind words. really. and yes, i think what i wrote is not uncommon, which in one way is comforting. but in another, i wish us all lives without fear.
so i'm still feeling like hell after going out thursday night, the dancing bug didn't bite me that night, but something else must have because i slept past noon today and feel really icky. but the first of the casios arrived yesterday, so i'm going to make some chicken soup and rock out for a while.....

i have fried a many of two keyboards. the fun one to circuit bend is the rapmaster one. it does some cool stuff. i been trying to get into more computer music stuff like CSound. but i still enjoy toy keyboards, and always have a hard time passing them up at the thrift store. but if i find any casio i will let you know.
will I see you thursday?
