So tonight I had to explain to a lady acquaintance of mine, who has no interest in dating me, that we couldn't be friends because I was attacted to her and think that the close relationship of a friendship would only lead to me wanting more than she could give.

And I have the same problem with boys. I have certain friends that I can't be too friendly with because they are attracted to me and I don't want to tease them or give them the wrong impression... and I have friends I could be all over if only they were within reach. (they avoid me, i think.)
