I'm about five episodes into the first season of Miami Ink and it is an interesting introduction to contemporary "tattoo culture" - part of it anyway. SG is another introduction for me and I'm also reading a book by John Irving that talks a lot about tattoo artists: Until I Find You. Finally, I've been reading an article in Inked magazine about Mario Barth and the new King Ink shop in Vegas. So far, I have no tattoos, but the art, culture, community is intriguing.
