I was watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer tonight.
Her mother had just started dating this seemingly nice guy,played by John Ridder. The new boyfriend, trying to get on the mother's good side, invites Buffy and her friends out miniture golfing. To make a long story short, Buffy does something to break the rules of the game and her mother and friends were going to let her shoot over again, because it was for fun. Well, the new boyfriend jumps in and says that doesn't set a good example for the rest of her life rules are rules.
Well the mother being the horny lonely wench that she is says ok ya you should play by the rules. Buffy goes to get her ball she knocked out of the course and the new boyfriend gets her alone and starts saying " I don't think you understand. The rules are the rules and I won't have any of this shinanigins in my house." and Buffy says "Well, it a good thing I'm not in your house."
Here's my thing; IS HER MOTHER SO LONELY THAT SHE WOULD SACRIFICE HER DAUGHTER'S HAPPINESS AND SIDE WITH A PRACTICAL STRANGER IN ORDER TO GET LAID AND HAVE A NICE MEAL COOKED FOR HER?!
I guess I just don't understand. Maybe I've been alone so long the thought doesn't bother me like it may some. It would seem to me that your daughter or son would be the most important person in the world to you. Oh well, I think I'm too nice. That's probably why I'm still alone. But if I have people like that to choose from. Nice has done well by me.

Yeah, I wouldn't put up with someone who treated anyone important to me badly. But then, I'm not afraid of being alone, either.
And I'm sure I took a few cabs in Aspen. We probably know each other! I love old boats. With wood up top. Beautiful.
