So Onie returned, late last night. For a while I was afraid she wouldn't. I know, I implied maybe I didn't want her to. That was just depressed me talking. I'm too in love with her to push her away. Oh man. I'm talking to B (her B) right now on AIM. Yes, I know him. Pretty well. It's awkward right now. I don't want...

The return of Onie... tonight! I'm super excited. I missed her a lot. We've got a lot to talk about... but i'm totally fully completely in love. So I think it can all be sorted out.

I'm totally, unbelieveably, incredibly, impossibly in love.

So am I a "postwhore"? Should I limit my posts to one a day?

Perhaps. The only reason I posted so many yesterday was because I was bored, anyway.

Mari comes home tomorrow. I still have... mixed feelings. Part of me wants to tell her to just stay in Texas, don't come back. Maybe that way I wouldn't have as many complications in my life,...

Damn. I didn't realize you were up here too. It was excellent to see you out the other eve @ the loft.

Have strength. Sometimes the ones we love the most take a little more time to realize what that love can really mean to them if they allow it and embrace it.

I miss Mari... we don't spend much time apart. We've practically been living together since we first met... the first time we spent any length of time apart, it was a week long, and we vowed to never do it again. Since I've known her we've been apart maybe a total of 3-4 weeks. In almost 3 years.

Yet... I feel she no longer is...

ahh. you don't want to get me started on bamboo. i'm obsessed. i have 6 species (a couple died frown). If you decide to plant some, you should install a rhizome barrier. Basically, you dig a 22" deep trench and stick a big piece of plastic in it. It will keep your neighbors friendly. smile

There's a table (and LOTS more) at American Bamboo Society's site that lists characteristics of a large number of species - height, minimum temp, amount of sun, etc. As long as you get something that'll grow in our area, you can pretty much just plant it, keep it nice and wet (lots of mulch) for the first year, then let it go. There's a place in Commerce GA called "The Pottery" that sells a few different species of bamboo (including black bamboo, which is sweet), or there're a bunch of online places.

The place that I ordered my rhizome barrier from discounts the barrier if you spend $100 on bamboo.

*ahem* Let me know if you wanna hear more. tongue

Oh, I wanted to explain my name. I spent much time deliberating upon a word that would accurately define me. I eventually was not consciously able to come up with something and gave up. Later on, I laid down to nap. In the stage of consciousness somewhere between awareness and sleep, an image of the ocean came to me.

It defines me well because the...

Nice to see you out at the party! I gotta confess that all I can think of when I see your name, tho', is Billy Ocean. So 80's!

I didn't know you were a mechanic. What do you work on?
vanuslux:
Vanuslux is severely bastardized Latin for "The Light in Shadow".

After much urging by the many wondeful souls I spent last night/morn with, I have decided to follow (loosely) in the footsteps of my true love and join SG.

You all are a wonderful bunch, and I sincerely appreciate the graciousness with which you have accepted me as one of your own.

Now... to upload massive amounts of pics!
