Well, we managed to get enough money together for some bread and milk and some of those poor people boxed dinners. It is funny, but we have been in this situation before and we have a "poor" menu. We always have the same foods when we are broke. Hamburger helper w/turkey meat (or fake meat) and grilled cheese sandwiches. YUM. I think it is pretty shitty that to have a healthy diet you have to have money. Poor people can afford all the nasty shit with a lot of fat and cheap preservatives. The white bread is cheaper than the wheat bread, and organic produce and goods are more expensive than the hormone laden garbage. You'd think that it would be less expensive to produce goods with no pesticides and hormones because you wouldn't have to pay for those things. I think they charge more because they know people will pay more for something they think is better. Back in AZ all the healthy stores like Wild Oats were in the affluent parts of town and all the poor parts had Food City (the nastiest store in the world). Here those healthy stores are just as prevalent as the other stores, and the regular stores all have a decent selection of organic and locally grown goods. People here are much more concerned with things like that.
Anyway, we went to the gym last night after skipping 2 days. I felt really lazy. I only did 35 min on the elliptical and like 60 crunches and I was done. No more skipping. Especially since we are on the poor people diet. At least it is better than the really poor person diet where you eat nothing but banana bread and water skull
